How Is Your Mind Fitness - How To Improve Your Mental Wellness

https://christianbaker.net/blog/hows-your-mind-fitness

Would you like to improve your mental wellness?

Would you like to be the best that you can be?

One thing about mindset is, that so many people don't realize that it's something that you can improve and enhance. I think it's viewed often as something that's very static, something that's very black and white, something that you've either got, or you haven't, something that's positive or negative.

Yet the truth is, your mindset should be approached in the same way as your physical health and fitness, which is why I often call it mind fitness.

So, I encourage you to view your mindset in the same way as your physical fitness, something that can be worked on and improved.

What I mean is that if you wanted to improve your physical fitness, if you wanted to become fitter and healthier, you wouldn't eat well for a day or a week or two.

You wouldn't go for a walk, or a run, you wouldn't go to the gym once, twice or a few times, or even for a couple of weeks, and then expect that to be sufficient for the rest of your life. And your mindset is exactly the same.

You should view your mind fitness, the same as you do your physical fitness.

So, what I encourage you to do today, is look at how you can incorporate different activities, I call these lifestyle strategies, into your day-to-day life. Activities and time to help keep your mindset in optimum fitness.

It's important to recognize that you're only human. If you're a man, if you're a woman, if you're a child, if you're a human being, then you're not indestructible, you're not invincible, you're not immune to be an effective by the stresses, the strains, the demands of day-to-day life.

Your mental wellness can and will get impacted as you go through different things in your day to day life.

So, to best help yourself, approach it by incorporating some lifestyle strategies as a preventative, to help keep your mind fitness as strong, as sharp, as balanced as you possibly can.

There are so many different things you can do, things that you enjoy doing, things that help you to unplug, to disconnect, to recharge, to refocus.

I often saying to my clients, you wouldn't let your phone run out of charge, so don't allow yourself to run out of charge.

So, what things can you do?

There are the obvious things, like sleeping well, eating well, physical activity absolutely impacts your mental fitness. They're the obvious things that most people pay attention to, but look at all the different things that you can do to keep your mindset in tip top condition.

And if you're not feeling a hundred percent, ask yourself, is there anything you can do to help yourself?

Check in with yourself and check if you've been doing things consistently to keep your mindset in a good place.

Then if you do notice that you're not feeling a hundred percent, or as well as you'd like to, check if you've put these things in place to help your mental wellness.

And if you do these things consistently, on a regular basis, it's going to be much easier for you to call upon them, if you need to give yourself a bit of a boost and a bit of a lift.

Your action today is to get a pen and paper, or a journal, look at your life and ask yourself, is there any more you could do to help keep yourself as mentally fit as you possibly can?

And if not, look at some of the things you could do and write some of your ideas down. These could be simple things, I'm not suggesting you have to go meditate for hours on end, although meditation is absolutely an effective tool to use.

You could incorporate mindfulness, breathing exercises, reading, going for a walk, getting outside in nature.

Any things that you like doing, listening to music, watching some box sets that allow you some escapism, anything that you feel allows you to get off that treadmill, that hamster wheel of day-to-day life, plug into your charger and just give you a bit of a reboot, a bit of a refocus and a bit of a recharge.

So, if you would like to help yourself to become as mentally fit as you possibly can, then you've got to be consistent with it.

Have a look at what you're doing, have a look at what you can do and make it happen.

Remember what your mind believes you will achieve, so allow yourself to think differently, believe in yourself, take action, and you can achieve the life and the mental fitness that you would like for you.

Go on, see what you can do to help yourself be as mentally strong as you possibly can.

All the best

Christian
